Simple Bag pattern
Size: 13 x 22 cm
Level: Beginner
Notes
v This pattern uses US terminology.
v If You are having trouble along the way, please watch the video tutorial where I show every step of the way. Find my channel Diving Ducks Crochet on YouTube.
Abbreviations:
CH = Chain
ST = Stitch
STS = Stitches
SC = Single crochet
SS = Slip stitch
What You´ll need
Yarn: 100% cotton. I used a sports weight 2 and put it double. Or You can use a DK and use a single strand.
Crochet hook 4 mm
Scissors
Tapestry needle
4 Stitchmarkers
The pattern:
CH 30.
Now turn, and begin working in Your chain.
Row 1: Skip the first chain and SC in 2nd chain from Your hook.
Continue with 1 SC in every CH until You have 28 SC. Place a stitch marker. Work 3 SC in the final CH.
Work 1 SC in the first CH on the opposite side and place a stitch marker.
Work another 28 SC and place a stitch marker in the final ST. Work another 2 SC in the final ST so You have 3 SC in the same ST. Work 2 SC in the next ST and place a stitch marker.
Work 1 SC in every ST until You get to the next stitch marker.
Remove the stitchmarker and work 1 SC. Work 2 SC in the next 3 STS. Remove the next stitch marker and work 1 SC in every ST until the next stitchmarker. Remove the next stitch marker and work 1 SC. Work 2 SC in the next 3 STS. Remove the final stitch marker.
We now have the bottom of the bag.
Work 1 SC in every ST (around in spirals) until it measures 16 cm.
Work 1 SS in each ST all around the edge.
Weave in Your end, and that’s it
Now You can use or make any strap You like for the bag. You have a ton of options. I did a Romanian cord on my bag, witch I have a tutorial of on my YouTube channel if You like to see how.
I hope Your bag turned out amazing.
